Use the following procedure to define reason codes to indicate
which plan balance is decreased.
To define a reason code

Access Reason Code (LP09.2).

In the main form, use the following guidelines to
enter field values:
- Reason Code

Type the reason code value.
- Plan Balance

Select which, if any, type of plan balance (that is, available,
reserved, or none) should be updated by events that hold this reason
code.
- Reason Type

Select whether the reason code identifies an absence type event
that should be included in absence tracking reports.

In the More tab, use the following guidelines to enter
field values:
- Service Code

Select a default service code to be associated with this reason
code.
- Points
-
If a point system is used for attendance tracking, type the
number of points that are associated with an absence (employee event)
that holds this reason code. This value will default to the employee
service record where it may be overridden.
- Status

Select whether the reason code is active or inactive.
