Defining a cycle amount formula

Use the following procedure to define values for different levels of hours based on the service class selected on the formula. Values can be a flat amount, an amount multiplied by hours or earnings from a service class, or a calculation.

To define a cycle amount formula

  1. Access Cycle Amount Formula (LP06.2).
  2. Select a company and complete the form. Use the following guidelines to enter field values:

    Type a code for the formula.

    Hours Service Class

    Select the service class that contains the hours that you want to count toward the service levels in the From Hours field on amount formulas.

    From Hours

    Type the start of the hours range.

    Leave this field blank on the first record if the formula amount should be given even when no hours are recorded within the cycle for the Hours Service Class.

    Amount

    Type either a flat amount or an amount that will be multiplied by the hours or earnings from a service class. If you type an amount, leave the calculation field blank.

    Service Class

    Select the service class that contains the hours or earnings to be multiplied by the amount column.

    Calculation

    Select the calculation that pertains to the hours range. If you select a calculation, leave the Amount field blank.
