Restoring FMLA entitlement

Use FMLA Rolling 12 Month Update (LP151) to restore leave amounts used under FMLA or other programs that allow for a rolling 12 month entitlement.

This should be run outside the LP Payroll Cycle.

  1. Access FMLA Rolling 12 Month Update (LP151).
  2. Type a Job Name and Description.
  3. Use the following guidelines to enter field values:
    Company

    Type or select a company.

    Processing Group

    Type or select the processing group to limit the update to the employees in this processing group. If you oenter a value, leave the Processing Level field blank.

    Processing Level

    Type or select the process level to limit the update to employees in this process level. If you enter a value, leave the Processing Group field blank.

    Employee Group

    Select an employee group for which leave of absence records should be processed. If you enter a value, leave the Employee, Process Level, and Processing Group fields blank.

    Employees

    You can select to run for up to eight individual resources. If you enter value(s) here, leave the Employee Group, Process Level, and Processing Group fields blank.

    Absence Plan

    Type or select the absence plan for which you want to restore leave eligibility.

    Structure Employee Group

    Type or select up to four structure employee groups. If left blank, all structure groups will be processed.

    Process Through Date

    Select a date through which to select leave of absence and service records.

    Report Sequence

    Select whether to sort by employee or process level.

    Employee Sequence

    Select whether to sort by company, by alpha, or by numeric.

    Update

    Select whether to run in update mode. If selected, all records will be processed and a list of restored hours and dates by resource is generated. If not selected, only a report is generated.

  4. On the Leave Selection tab, use the following guidelines to enter field values:
    Reason Class

    Select whether to include leave of absence records with a specific reason class. Leave blank to select records for all reason classes.

    Include Leave Status

    Select up to eight statuses of leave request, for example: pending, approved, or not eligible. This field is used for tracking and reporting.

    Include Reason for Leave

    Select the code that best describes the reason the employee has requested the leave of absence.

  5. Run Employee Absence Plan Calculation (LP140) and Absence Plan Close (LP197).
