Determining leave eligibility

Use the following procedure to create a report to assist in the determination of leave eligibility.

To determine leave eligibility

  1. Access Employee Leave of Absence Report (LP251).
  2. Use the following guidelines to complete field values:
    Report Option

    Select Eligibility Report.

  3. On the Eligibility tab, use the following guidelines to enter field values:
    Evaluation Status

    Select the status you have defined for identifying leave requests that are pending approval or classification.

    Employee Leave of Absence (LP51.1) records holding this status will be included for processing.

    Service Date

    Select which employee date should be used for measuring the period of service. Minimum Service Time.

    Use the service requirement that must be met to qualify for a leave of absence program.

    Minimum Service Time

    Type the minimum amount of employment service required to be eligible for a leave of absence.

    Service Units

    Select the unit of time that applies to the minimum amount entered. Service Through Date.

    Service Through Date

    Type a date if service should be calculated through a specific date. If you leave this field blank, and specify an hours date range, the ending date of the range is used as the through date for service time. Otherwise, the Leave Begin Date from Employee Leave of Absence (LP51.1) will be used.

    If leave begin date is not entered, current system date will be used.

    Minimum Service Hours

    Type the number of hours that must be worked to qualify for a leave of absence program.

    Service Class

    Select a service class to limit the hours that are counted toward the minimum to those within the class.

    If this field is left blank, all types of service will be counted.

    Date Range Parameter

    Select the date range to be used to count up hours of service.

    If you select Prior 12 Months, the 12 month period ending on the leave begin date will be used.

    If you select Date Range Specified, a beginning date must be entered on the parameters, with an optional ending date.

    Hours Date Range

    If the date range specified is selected in the Date Range Parameter field, you must enter a beginning date for the range.

    And end date is optional.

  4. On the Leave History tab, use the following guidelines to enter field values:
    Leave History Dates

    If you would like any existing historical leave records to be included on the report for the employee being evaluated type a range of dates.

    Any leave of absence records other than the requested leave being evaluated, that fall within dates specified will be listed on the report. This may help identify leave time already taken by the employee. Intermittent Leaves Identify whether you want a summary or detail report on any historical intermittent leaves.

    If you select Detail the report will include all the service and event records identified as time taken under the leave of absence record.

    Include Leave Status

    To limit the historical leaves listed to those with a specific status, enter up to 12 leave statuses. If all statuses should be reported, then leave these fields blank.

    Include Reason for Leave

    To limit the historical leaves listed to those with a specific reason code, enter up to 12 reasons.

    If all reasons should be reported, then leave these fields blank.
