Attribute Matrix workflow

Use the Attribute Matrix to assign values to Lawson-defined or user-defined attributes to provide more information and more flexibility in reporting. An attribute is essentially a user-defined or Lawson-defined field and possesses these characteristics:

• You must assign an attribute a specific user-defined or Lawson-defined element, which determines the attribute's data type and maximum size.

• You must assign an attribute an object type to be used by an application, which identifies the application where the attribute is used. For Lease Management, the object type is LEASE.

• You must assign the attribute a value to use for reporting or processing.

You can define a range values within which an asset attribute must fall, or a list of valid values for an attribute, or you can let the attribute be any valid value for its data type and size.

You can also create attribute templates and attribute lists. An attribute template can automatically assign values to more than one attribute. An attribute list can create a set of member leases that are selected for processing or reporting.
