ICN code

The Intrastat Classification Nomenclature (ICN) code is a code that classifies a set of goods. The ICN code is also called a commodity code. For Intrastat reporting, you must specify the weight of the goods in kilograms. Some ICN codes require you to specify a supplementary unit of measure (UOM). For example, you report jewelry in grams. These supplementary units of measure are predefined based on the specific ICN code.
