Using the external data load method

  1. Prepare the interface file.
    Note: The interface file must be in an importable format such as a comma-separated value (CSV) file and the file fields must match the order and data type of the fields in the appropriate interface file. The Financial Management File Layouts are available in KB2218730 in Infor Customer Portal.
  2. Transfer the interface file to the application server that contains your Lawson environment. You can use a standard transfer utility, such as FTP.
  3. Use the Import (importdb) command to load the data into the GLMASTREL file.
  4. To edit records in the interface file, use GL67.
  5. Select External data in the Load method field.
  6. Run report with update option set to Report Only to validate data.
  7. Run in update mode to process income statement beginning balances.
  8. Run GL320 to rebuild GLCONSOL.
