Assigning Posting Accounts to Departments

Use this procedure to assign posting accounts to departments.

  1. Access Accounting Units (GL20).
  2. Type or select company number and department and Inquire.
  3. Click the Accounts button. GL20.2 displays.
  4. Enter the accounts individually or use the Mass Add button.
    Note: To do a Mass Add for multiple departments, use Mass Account Addition (GL121). Use this to copy accounts from a chart section, summary account, or a company, accounting unit, account range. On the Copy To tab, select the company number and level range values to copy the accounts to.
  5. Submit the job.
