General Ledger overview

The General Ledger application is the center of several other financial applications. It acts as a central repository for data from other Lawson applications such as: Allocations, Budgeting, Currency, Attribute Matrix, Strategic Ledger, and Report Writer. On a day-to-day basis, you can use General Ledger to create journal entries that you use to track transactions for reporting and inquiry. This chapter provides a high-level overview of General Ledger, including information on the application's major processes and interface with other Lawson and non-Lawson products.
