Viewing transaction history
You can access EDI transaction history through Query Transaction History (ED05.1). For every EDI transaction sent or received, a record is written to the table. Query Transaction History (ED05.1) provides the means to query against this table and view transaction history. Numerous indexes and filters make it possible to search the table in a wide variety of ways.
View transaction history
- Access Query Transaction History (ED05.1).

Specify the variable(s) by which you want to search
for a transaction. Specify this information:
- EDI Nbr

The EDI number that was specify on Trading Partner Setup (ED10.1) for a specific trading partner/transaction type combination.
- Trans Date

Transaction date. The date on which an EDI job was run.
- Connection ID

The ID number (date and time stamp) for an EDI job. A connection ID is automatically created when an inbound or an outbound EDI job is run.
- Trans Type

Transaction type; for example, 850 or 855.
- Direction

Inbound or outbound.
- App Value
-
The application value. For example, if the transaction type is 850, you could specify a specific purchase order number in this field.
- Isa Contrl Nbr

The interchange control number.
- Gs Contrl Nbr

The group control number.
- St Contrl Nbr

The transaction control number.
- Path
-
Not used for filtering. Display only.
- Ack Expected

Whether a functional acknowledgment was expected.

The date on which a functional acknowledgment was received.

- Trn Status

An event's EDI translation status. You could, for example, search for all events with a Waiting translation status.
- Comm Stat

Communication status. You could, for example, search for all events with a FAILURE communication session.

Click the Filter link.
The Filter EDHISTRANS (ED90.1) form appears with transaction history.
After you select search criteria on Query Transaction History (ED05.1), your requested transaction history data is displayed on Filter EDHISTRANS (ED90.1). Fields displayed on this form include these:
Line 1: EDI Number, Transaction Date, Connection ID, Transaction Type, Direction, ISA Control (number), GS Control (number)
Line 2: Acknowledgment Expected, Acknowledgment Date, Transaction Status, Communication Status, Application Value (for example, PO #), ST Control (number)
