Inbound
The Lawson EDI system can "watch" for inbound 997s coming in. These 997s report acceptance or rejection of a document that you have previously sent to your trading partner. The Lawson EDI system will interpret the 997 and attempt to match it to a transaction history record for the corresponding document that you have sent. If a match is found, the Lawson EDI system will update the Acknowledgment Date (Ack Dt) and Transaction Status (Trn St) fields on the Transaction History record.
For all this to happen, you need only do this:
-
On the trading partner record for the outbound document for which you expect inbound 997s, in the field called "Ack Request," select the value "Ack Requested."
