Defining routes

If you want to schedule deliveries to your customers by routes, then you can set up a route structure with stops for customers. This procedure explains how to define routes.

Before you can define routes, you must specify that your billing company uses route processing. See Setting up the Billing company.

Details on processing orders by route are found elsewhere in this user guide. See Delivering orders by route.

Follow these steps to define routes:

  1. Access Routes (OE60.1).
  2. Define header information. Use these guidelines to specify the field values:
    Location

Select the inventory location from where you will pull the goods for delivery.

    Day of Week

Select the day of the week for the delivery.

    Route

    Specify the route number.

Note: You can use the same route number for more than one day of the week. For example, you can have a route number 1 on Monday and a route number 1 on Thursday.
  3. Specify the stop number in the Stop field.
  4. Specify the customer for this stop in the Customer field.
  5. If you want to specify a certain ship-to location, then select that location in the Ship To field.
  6. Select the Add form action.
