User ID

A user ID is an identifier that users must have before entering, inquiring, and updating orders in Order Entry. The user ID that you set up for Order Entry must match the user ID that is used to log on to the application. Therefore, you must set up logins in the environment before you add user IDs in Order Entry.

You can assign default values to a user ID, such as order type, process level, customer, and location. If you do not specify those values on the order, the values you assign to a user ID becomes the default when you specify an order.
