Releasing the shipment
Releasing a shipment reduces the available stock-on-hand in the Inventory Control application. You can release shipments by running a batch program or using an online program.
Note: You cannot undo a released shipment. Perform this
procedure only when you are certain that all information for the shipment
is correct and complete. After you release the shipment, you cannot
change the shipped quantity or merge shipments.
If you are required to prepare Intrastat reports, Intrastat records are created when you release the shipment. To maintain Intrastat records after you release the shipment, you must access Intrastat Data Maintenance (IN20.1).
