Assigning promotions to sales classes or items
To narrow the pricing parameters, you can assign a promotion to a specific sales class of items or to a specific item.
Defining a promotion for a specific sales class
- Access Promotion Sales Class (BL47.2).
- Select a promotion.
- In the Sales Classfields, select the major or minor sales class that you want to affect by this promotion.
- In the Prohibit Sales field, click to prohibit ordering items that are priced using this promotion sales class.
- In the field, click to send items that are ordered and priced using this promotion sales class for free to the customer.
- In the Amalgamated Pricing field, click to use amalgamated pricing for items ordered from a sales class.
- In the Discount Code field, select a discount code to the contract.
- Optionally, you can specify the upper item quantity limit depending on the item quantities ordered to apply special pricing percentages for items in a specific sales class in the Quantity Breaks field.
To define a promotion for a specific item
- Access Promotion Item (BL47.3).
- Select a promotion.
- In the Item field, select an item that you want to affect by this promotion.
- On the Options tab, specify this information:
- Quantity Pricing Codes
- Specify whether the quantity break prices is calculated as a , , or in this promotion.
- No Charge
- Specify whether to send or not the items that are ordered and priced using this promotion for free to the customer..
- On the Multiple Units of Measure tab, specify and update prices for items with multiple pricing units measure.
