Automatic list example

This example shows how you can create an automatic list for cash codes managed by Jane Doe.

It is useful to select cash codes based on Lawson-defined attributes. For example, Moose Wood Outfitters might create a list of cash codes based on the Lawson-defined CURR CODE attribute. The list could be used to run a report for all cash codes in a certain currency, such as Canadian dollars.

  1. Create these user attributes:
    Name:

    MANAGER

    Object type:

    Cash Code (CSHCD)

    Element:

    Alpha 15

    Values:

    DOE

    BROWN

    SMITH

  2. For each cash code managed by Jane Doe, add the value DOE to the attribute MANAGER for the cash code.
  3. Create a list named JANEDOE (for cash codes managed by Doe) with this attribute value range:
    MANAGER:

    From DOE To DOE

Note: Preview the list to verify that the correct cash codes are selected.
  4. Select the JANEDOE list on reports or inquiries to include only cash codes managed by Jane Doe.
