ACA Offers Eligibility CSV
Use ACA Offers Eligibility CSV (BN729) to compile past benefit offers data. This is a one-time process that can be run after hours. After you validate the file, the records can be uploaded to the system by running ACA Offers Upload (BN529). These offers can be viewed in ACA Offers (BN29) or in ACA Offers Report (BN229) after the update.
Because HRM did not store benefit offers in the past, the first step in the offers data collection process is to compile past benefit offers. This process compiles past offers that are based on past benefit enrollments and is a one-time process. The employee benefit enrollments that occurred during the specified date range are used to reconstruct offers.
Use these BN729 report options to analyze the data:
-
Create Offer CSV
Select Yes in this field to run the ACA Offers Eligibility CSV Report. This report shows employee offers that can be recreated based on existing benefit enrollments.
We recommend that you analyze the ACA Offers Eligibility CSV for accuracy because changes in the database during the year can cause the loss of employee offers.
-
Create Exception CSV
Employees show on the ACA Offers Exception CSV Report because only the enrollment record exists and additional offers were lost (terminated, no longer in employee group, etc). The exception report is a tool that can be used to determine if the enrollment record was the best offer or has an offer code that does not result in an IRS penalty for the organization. Use the Create Exception CSV as a starting point for editing. Then add additional offers and import into BN529.
At a minimum, only the best offer benefit coverage plan and a waive plan for the employee must be created for ACA regulatory reporting. BN729 can be used to create output files based on the job parameters selected. These output files are found in the user’s print directory.
