Electronic payment processing
Through electronic payment (EP) processing, you can take payments in the form of credit cards. You can use electronic payment to accept these forms of payment for customer orders.
This diagram shows how a successful electronic payment process works:
Each column has tasks that are performed by different roles. The first column are tasks that you perform while the middle column are tasks that is performed by the Billingapplication. The third column are tasks that is performed by the Electronic Payment Provider (EPP). The EPP is an external provider of electronic payment services. The EPP communicates with banks and financial institutions to authorize and settle your customer's electronic payment accounts
A software to interface Order Entry and Billing to the EPP is required in electronic payment processing. If you are using Lawson Electronic Payment Connector, then the supported EPP is PayPal.
To see how you can batch release electronic payment orders, see Batch release of electronic payment orders.
