Loading Lawson-Defined attributes and elements

Before you define attributes, you must load the Lawson-defined attributes and elements. You can only load Lawson-defined attributes once. Use this procedure to load Lawson-defined data used when defining attributes.

Follow these steps to load Lawson-defined attributes and elements required in Attribute Matrix and used in other subsystems.

  1. Create a report that compares the Lawson-defined attribute and element values in your database to the current attributes and elements:
    1. Run Attribute, Element Load (MX100).
    2. Select which job name want to load the Lawson-defined attributes and elements
    3. Specify a job description
    4. In the Update field of the Parameters section, select N to print invalid Lawson-defined attributes that are included in lists and provide a valid value for the obsolete attribute.
    5. Click Submit.
Note: You must manually change the affected list(s) on List (MX10.1) and remove the invalid attribute(s) before you run MX100 in Update mode
    .
  2. Run
  3. To load available subledger fields that can be linked to transactions, run Subledger Attribute Load (GL106).
Note: If you will use transaction attributes for Lawson application General Ledger, Project Accounting, Multi-Book Ledger, and Strategic Ledger applications, then you must run Subledger Attribute Load (GL106).
