Item master

An item master is a file that holds information about an inventory item regardless of where the item is used. You assign item masters to an item group so several companies with the same item group can share an item. You can include the unit of measure and packaging information in the item master. You can assign inventory items to at least one location. See the Inventory Control User Guide.
