Transferring the files from the server

This procedure describes how to transfer files with the Lawson Desktop File Transfer program.

UNIX and Windows

After you create the dimension metadata import files, you must transfer them to the computer on which your Pillar application data set is located.

If your Lawson Business Management System is located on a UNIX server, then you can use a transfer utility such as winptxfr or ftp to copy the files to your computer. You can also use the Lawson Desktop File Transfer program.

IBM i

After you create the dimension metadata import files, you must transfer them to the computer on which your Pillar application data set is located using the Lawson Desktop File Transfer program.
