Defining SL Segment Value Selection dimension criteria

  1. When you specify Selection on EB10.3 and the budget dimension's source is Strategic Ledger Segment, the SL Segment Value Selection (EB11.5) form displays.
  2. On SL Segment Value Selection (EB11.5), select a user analysis to identify the Strategic Ledger segment that you want in the dimension.
Note: If you are using multiple Strategic Ledger segments in budgeting, then you must create a separate budget dimension for each segment. This indicates the Strategic Ledger segment from which values will be selected.
  3. Select one of these options:
    • Specify or select Yes in All Values to include all user analysis values. This will populate the dimension with all user analysis values for the segment that you specified.

    • Specify or select a User Analysis list that you have established in Lawson Attribute Matrix. When you select this option, the user analysis values that are members of the list are included in the budget dimension.

Note: Make sure the list that you specify is defined for the user analysis that you identified for the budget dimension.
  4. Click Preview to see the user analysis values that are members of the budget dimension. The Member Preview (EB12.1) form displays.
  5. On Member Preview (EB12.1), click one of these buttons:
    • Click Update List to build a list of members for the dimension based on the user analysis values that you selected.

Note: If this is a new budget, then you must click this button to build your list for the first time.
    • Click View Current List to view a list of members for the dimension. The Strategic Ledger Preview (EB12.6) form displays.

Note: This action does not rebuild the list.
  6. On Strategic Ledger Preview (EB12.6), you can view the user analysis values that you will include in the budget dimension.
Note: To scroll to an item in the list, you can specify the segment name in the Position To field and press Enter.
