Defining fixed column values (optional)

You can override the data populated in a report column with a fixed value. When you use the template in a report definition, the fixed value will replace any value that was supplied from your Lawson Business Management System.

  1. Click Override next to the Column Heading field to populate a column with fixed values. The Fix Column Value (EB20.3) form displays.
  2. On Fix Column Value (EB20.3), you can select to substitute an alpha or numeric value for the column.
    • To specify an alpha value, click the Alpha Value tab and specify the alpha characters that will override the value in the Alpha Value field. Then select the Line Types to which the value must be applied. The Pillar application allows three line types per line item: Amount, Unit, and Rate.

    • To specify a numeric value, click the Numeric Value tab and specify the numeric values to apply to the Amount, Units, and Rate fields.

  3. Close Fix Column Value (EB20.3). Repeat this process for all dimension columns in which you want to populate a fixed value.
