Renaming line item report files

When you import and export budget data, the names of the file that you export are determined by the names that you give the line item report definitions. For example, if your export dimension line item report name is AU-ACCT-EXPORT, then the budget line item export file name will be AU-ACCT-EXPORT.ASC. Budget line item file names must not contain spaces or special characters. Use this procedure to map new file names to each of your import and export report definitions.

  1. Click Options on Budget Architect (EB10.1).
  2. Click Line Item Rpts. The Line Item Report File Name (EB19.3) form displays.
  3. Specify the new export file name to be associated with each dimension. By default, the dimension names are used with the ASC extension.
    Note: Line item data file names must be unique. If you have multiple budgets in Budget Architect and you do not use unique file names across budgets, then it may overwrite budget line item files when you transfer them to and from the Lawson server.
