Converting distribution data

You can convert distribution records from your non-Lawson system to the Accounts Receivable application.

This table lists the application conversion database files depending on the kind of data you are converting.

  1. Access Distribution Conversion (AR507).
  2. Run this program to convert your distribution records. Select an Update Option to edit only or edit and update the distribution records.

The program edits the external data to protect the integrity of the Accounts Receivable data. It creates a report in transaction number order that includes each field that failed an edit, the field data, a description of the error, and totals for the number of records processed, and total errors.

Note: When you run AR507, the Status field on converted distributions is set to a value of 9, which means posted to general ledger. However, AR507 does no posting. AR507 converts historical or posted status distributions into AR for the purposes of Lawson Drill-Around functionality and reporting only. Since this is a conversion process, the general ledger amounts represented by the distributions must be converted into General Ledger by Transaction Interface (GL165) or manually entered on Journal Entry (GL40).
