To update bills of exchange without remittance control
- Access Bank Presentation, Cashing Update (DT180).
-
Select a cash code and select the parameters. You
can also run DT180 to update only bills of exchange marked as cashed
in DT80.1. It changes the status of the open item(s) paid by the bill
of exchange to historical. The program creates a listing of remittances
and bills of exchange that have been presented, cashed for discount,
cashed at due date, and dishonored. Use the following guidelines to enter field values:
- Remittance and Cash Journal book
-
If your company is defined as using journal books, type the name of the journal book where remittance transactions or cashing transaction are to be recorded.

- Remittance Process Level
-
If you selected No in the Online Select Only field, you can select a process level to limit the bills of exchange processed.
- Cashing Date
-
If you selected No in the Online Select Only field, you can type a cashing date used for automatic bill of exchange cashing. If left blank, the system date defaults.
Note: DT180 automatically cashes bills of exchange presented to a bank for encashed remittance if their due date plus the margin days you define falls on or before the system date. - Margin Days
-
If you selected No in the Online Select Only field, you can type the number of margin days to be added to the bill of exchange due date for automatic bill of exchange cashing. If left blank, no margin days will be used.
