To select customers to review
-
Access Customer Review Selection (AR170).
Note: Many users run AR170 twice, once to clear the file and once to select new customers for review. You can batch the two job one after another in the job scheduler and run it nightly.
-
Select customers to review based on reaching their
defined review date, exceeding their maximum credit limit percentage,
or exceeding an aging limit. Use the following guidelines to enter field values:
- Report Option
-
Select C if company level only. Select N for Company and National Account.
- Percent of Limit
-
Type a percent value to select customers that have reached their credit limit percentage. The program multiplies that value with the percentage limit defined on Customer (AR10.1) to calculate the customer's percentage of credit limit.Example:
A customer has a credit limit of $100.00 and a credit percent review of 90% as defined on AR10.1. If 80 is entered for the percent of limit on the AR170 parameter and the customer's current balance, perhaps including open orders, is equal to or greater than $72.00 (90% x 80% x $100.00). The customer will be selected for review.
- Past Due Amounts
-
Type a past due amount to select customer with past due amounts in the static aging buckets. This can be done at the company or national account level.
- Past Due Period
-
Type the first customer static aging period to include for the Past Due Amount calculation(s). Valid values are 1 through 5. If you type "3", for example, the system totals past due amounts in aging periods 3, 4, and 5. If left blank, 1 defaults which means past due amounts in all periods will be included.
- Purge File
-
Indicate whether you want to delete resolved or unresolved records from the work file.
