What Is the Difference Between Transaction Entry and Transaction Interface?
Transaction entry is the manual entry of invoices, credit memos, and debit memos. A batch is created containing control totals and default information for all the transactions in the batch. After the transactions have been entered, you release the batch to allow cash application to occur to these transactions.
Transaction interface is the process of bringing in data from another source, such as, another Lawson Software application, or a non-Lawson application. This might require editing and adjusting the transactions before they can be interfaced with accounts receivable.
