Defining Sales Representative Codes

Sales representative codes define the name, commission percentage, and territory of a sales representative. You can run several listings by selecting transactions associated with an individual or range of sales representatives. One sales representative code is required for each customer. You can optionally assign a secondary sales representative. This procedure describes how to set up sales representative codes.

To define a sales representative code

  1. Access Sales Rep (AR06.3).
  2. Define sales rep codes. The code defaults to each transaction and can be overridden at entry time. All reporting is based on the transaction's sales rep. Therefore, if the customer sales rep changes, existing transactions will still report under the original sales rep. The sales rep can be changed on transactions in Obligations (AR42.6) if the transaction has been released. Use the following guidelines to enter field values:
    Commission Percent

This field is used by the Order Entry and Sales Analysis applications. Commission calculations are not performed in the Accounts Receivable application.

    Territory
