Maintaining Files

This chapter describes three file maintenance procedures: Purging files, purging books, and rebuilding depreciation history. These procedures are optional and can be performed at any time.

If your company collects depreciation history data, the size of the transaction files can grow too large, impacting system performance. It is recommended that you set up a process to monitor and purge transaction files periodically.
