Defining book groups

Book groups are collections, or categories, of books that can be processed or reported on. You can use book groups to perform the same process or to run the same report for multiple books. This procedure outlines the process for defining book groups.

Define a book group

  1. Access Book Group (AM10.1).
  2. Define the name of the new book group in the Book Group field.
  3. Define the books that you want included in the book group in the Book fields.
    Caution: 
    Be careful when you combine books that have calendars with different numbers of periods per year. During book group processing, you could close the last period of the year for some books while closing mid-year periods for other books.
