When would you use a handheld terminal for transfers?

You would transfer assets from a handheld terminal only under these conditions:

• The assets that you transfer are already part of the physical inventory.

• You select to transfer partial or whole assets to another location or location detail.

If you are not changing the physical location of an asset, the inventory data is not affected, and you should use one of the other two methods described in this chapter.

When you transfer an asset from a handheld terminal, you must complete the transfer in the Asset Management application.
