What happens when a disposed asset is reinstated?
You can reinstate a disposed asset if:
-
The original disposal was a full disposal.
-
The asset was disposed in the current fiscal year.
When you reinstate a disposed asset, the reinstatement program reverses all the journal entries created by the disposal and restores the asset to its status before the disposal.
If you delete an asset reinstatement before you release it, the asset returns to its disposed status, and all the disposal journal entries are reversed.
If you need to dispose a reinstated asset after you release the reinstatement, you must perform a new disposal on the asset.
