List allocation

A list allocation lets you post an allocation to a list of activities. This list of activities is called the post-to list. When the allocation is calculated, allocation transactions are created for each activity in the list. List allocations require a pool, a driver (always a compute statement), and a list of post-to activities.

You can use automatic or manual lists in a list allocation. If the post-to activities change frequently and can be identified using an automatic list, then you can dramatically reduce allocation maintenance using a list allocation because the list is dynamically generated each time the allocation is processed.
