Changing multiple activities

Use this procedure to change field values for the selected activities or groups of activities. You can use this update program to change default General Ledger company, accounting unit and accounts; budget checking, levels and tolerance; grant-related award and salary cap values; and end dates on Activity (AC10.1).

Follow these steps to change multiple activities:

  1. Access Activity Mass Change (AC113).
  2. On the Activity tab, select the activities for which you want to change data. Use these guidelines to specify the field values:
    Activity Group List, Activity Group, Activities, or List

    Select one of these options:

    • an activity group list to do a mass field change for all the activities in the specified activity group list.

    • an activity group to do a mass field change for all the activities in the specified activity group.

    • up to six activities for which the mass field change will apply.

    • an activity list for which the mass field change will apply to all the activities in the list.

  3. Select the Defaults, Budgets, Award, or Salary Cap tabs to change the data in the fields for each of the related tabs. Use these guidelines to specify the field values:
    Select

    For each field you want to change, select A - (All) to change all the selected activities to the new value. An old value in this case is not allowed. Select X - (Specified) to specify an old value to replace. If the old value is blank, then it will only update records with that field blank with the new value.

    Old

    Select the old field value to replace. Leave this field blank to assign the new field value regardless of the old value assigned. If you select A in the Select field, then you cannot select an old value.

    New

    Specify or select the new value to assign.

  4. Run the program.
