Infor Lawson Drill Around
Before you can use the Drill Around feature, you must select and map the drillable fields. There are two ways to map drillable fields:
-
When you create a worksheet using the Query Wizard, use the Map Wizard tab on the Query Wizard to select and map the fields to drill on.
-
If you have an existing Excel worksheet containing Infor Lawson data or you created a worksheet with the Query Wizard but didn't map drill fields, use the Infor Lawson Map Drill Around option by clicking the Infor Lawson button from the Add-ins tab.
Drillable fields have an asterisk beside their names on the worksheet.
The Map Wizard Tab
If the query source is an application form, the Map Wizard tab displays available drillable fields. Add all of the key fields required by the form by selecting them in the Select Drill Around list. The key fields do not automatically display. Use the Remove Drill Field button to delete a field.
If the query source is the database tables, the Map Wizard displays the product line tree. You select the product line you based the query on, then select a system code and form. You can then select drillable fields.
The Infor Lawson Map Drill Around Menu Option
If you have an existing worksheet containing Infor Lawson data, you can map worksheet columns to Infor Lawson form fields and use the Drill Around feature. These rules apply:
-
You must map the worksheet to a product line, system code, and form that contain the data records on the worksheet.
-
The worksheet must contain the form's key fields with valid values.
Drill Around supports worksheets with up to 100 columns.
When you select the Infor Lawson Map Drill Around menu option, you are asked to select the product line, system code, and form to map worksheet columns to. You then select the fields and range (number of rows) of the worksheet cells to drill on.
