Creating the Excel Worksheet
When you choose Finish on the Workbook tab, the query string goes into the Infor Lawson system and retrieves the data you want. If the search involves many records, this might take a few minutes. When the search is complete, the data is displayed in Excel.
"No Data Found" Message
In some circumstances, the wizard returns a blank Excel worksheet with the message: "No data found for the specified query." If you see this message, it indicates one of the following:
-
You selected a product line, database table, or application form that does not contain data matching the selection criteria you chose for this query.
-
You did not select key fields or provide valid key field values for this query. Review and correct the selection criteria you chose for this query.
-
According to your security setup, you are not approved to view the data you requested. See your security administrator.
Server Errors
If your Infor Lawson server goes down while an Add-ins operation is in progress, an error message appears. The error message displays the reason for the error and refers you to an error log located in your login directory. The default location of the log file is:
%APPDATA%\Lawson Software\Office Add-ins\moa.log
The log file contains only the most recent error message, so if you want to save the error message, rename the log file or move it to another directory.
