Infor Lawson Add-ins and Security

All Infor Lawson Add-ins users must be set up with appropriate security prerequisites before they can use the Add-ins product. These procedures must be completed by your organization's security administrator. If you are denied access to the Add-ins when you try to log in, or you do not have access to data you need to view, see your security administrator.

The table below provides an overview of security prerequisites for Add-ins users. Detailed procedures for setting up Add-ins security are located in the Resources and Security Administration Guide covering Security for your version of the Environment.

Add a user to the Infor Lawson repository. The user must have identities on the appropriate services or agents.

Assign the user appropriate access rights in either Infor Lawson Security or LAUA security.

Use the Resource Management tool to do the following:

  • Set the ADDINS attribute to ALLOW to permit a user to access the Infor Lawson Add-ins. If the ADDINS attribute for a user is blank, the user will be denied access to the Add-ins.

  • Install the Infor LawsonQueryToolsRole template and then use the Resource Management tool to assign the Infor LawsonQueryToolsRole role in the GEN profile to each Add-ins user in your organization. This gives users access to the tables necessary to use the Add-ins.
