Configuring the user preferences in the Upload Wizard
- Log in to Infor Lawson Upload Wizard.

Click the User Preferences button.
The User Preferences window is displayed.

Specify this information:
- Data Response Timeout (in seconds)

Specify the number of seconds for the response timeout.
- Upload Thread Pool Size

Specify the number of upload threads that the computer can use. The minimum value is two while the maximum value will depend on the number of core that the computer has. For example, if the computer is powerful enough and has eight core or more, then the maximum value will be 60.
- Allow all pop-up errors during upload

Select this option if you want to see error messages when uploading data.
- Pop-up Error Message Limit

Specify the limit of the pop-up messages that you want to see.
- Log uploads in .csv file

Select this option if you want to enable the use of CSV logging for debugging purposes.
The log file contains only the most recent upload logs, so if you want to save the log file, rename or move it to another directory. The log file will contain these columns:

Start Time (mm:ss.000)

Upload Status (Success/Failed)

Thread No.

Elapsed Time (mm:ss.000)

The default location of the log file is
%APPDATA%\Lawson Software\Office Add-ins\upload_log.csv
.This option is disabled by default. When enabled, it may induce additional time for upload since it will write logs to separate file. It is only recommended to enable this option for debugging purposes.

- Run the upload in the background
- Select this option if you want to continue to use Excel while the upload runs in the background.
- Show warning on start up
- Select this option if you want to show the upload usage warning during
the Upload Wizard start up.
This preference is dictated by the selection of YES or NO on the warning message.
- Click Save Preferences.
