Lease Purge (LM300)

Run Lease Purge (LM300) to purge historical lease records from the Lease Management application based on the criteria entered.

Caution:

This program permanently deletes data. Before you run this program, back up your data according to your organization's procedures. Before you submit the report, carefully review the parameters.

Processing effect

If you select Y (Yes) in the Archive field, LM300 generates a comma-separated value (CSV) file for each file type in the $LAWDIR/productline/work (UNIX/Windows) or LAWDIR/productline/work (IBM i) directory. Note, however that LM300 overwrites these files each time you run LM300 with the Archive field set to Yes. If you want to preserve a previously archived purge file, you must copy it to a different directory before running LM300 again.

More information

If you select S (Selected Files) in the Purge Selection field, you must select at least one type of file for purging on the Select Files form tab. If you select the default Blank Files in the Purge Selection field, you cannot select any files on the Select Files form tab.

The Lease Status field lets you select the status of the leases you purge. Under normal circumstances, you should purge only closed or retired leases. The default is to purge both. You do have the option to purge all statuses of leases, but you should exercise great caution in using this option.
