Source Code (GL05.1)
Use Source Code (GL05.1) to define and maintain user- and Lawson-defined source codes. A source code identifies where transactions are created within a system. For example, JE is the Lawson-defined source code for the General Ledger Journal Entry transactions.
You can also associate up to three transaction attributes with the source code. Each time you assign the source code to a transaction, the attributes you define in this form are automatically assigned. You can also limit the use of the transaction attribute to the , General Ledger, and Strategic Ledger systems.
Before you use this program, you should have run System, Source Code Load (GL105) to load Lawson-defined source codes.
More Information
Note: (About Grant Management source codes.) Do not be confused by the
source codes that the Grant Management form Salary Encumbrance Processing
(GM110) uses. GM110 creates commitments for labor and fringe using the system
code GM and source code LD (for labor) or FR (for fringe). Because source
codes LD and FR only exist in commitments generated by GM110 and not actual
posted transactions, the codes were not added to Source Code (GL05.1). The
source code FR does not exist on GL05.1. LD does exist, but its description
is "Lease Deferral Entry" and has nothing to do with Grant Management.
