More Information

A Check Cap warning message is displayed if the activity is subject to salary cap. The warning is displayed if you applied salary cap rules to the template and:

  • the employee's salary or the salary cap amount changed after the rules were applied.
  • the activity is no longer subject to salary cap.

When the Check Cap message is displayed, salary cap rules may need to be reapplied to ensure that the proper amount of salary is being charged to the activity. To do this, you must unrelease the line so that salary cap rules can be reapplied on Labor Cost Transfer Template Entry (GM12.2).

If the activity is subject to salary cap and salary cap rules were applied, an asterisk is displayed next to the Cap link. Use the Cap link to access Labor Cost Transfer Template Salary Cap (GM12.6). GM12.6 shows how the salary percentages were recalculated to accommodate the cap and information about the overage template line created to handle the labor cost transfer of salary that is in excess of the cap.
