Labor Distribution Template Copy (GM10.4)

Use Labor Distribution Template Copy (GM10.4) to copy a labor distribution template. You can copy a template to create new templates for the same employee but different pay codes, templates for different employees and no pay code, or templates for different employees and specific pay codes. The current template on GM10.2 is the source data for the copy.

On GM10.4, identify the HR company and employee or employees you want in the new templates. If you want the new template(s) to contain a pay code, identify the pay codes or pay summary group containing the pay codes you want. You must also enter an effective date for the new templates and identify the status (released, hold, unreleased, or approved) you want the new template lines to have. When you click the Create form function, the system validates the employee and pay code parameters, makes sure the effective date and new status are valid, and then starts a batch job to create one new template for each employee and pay code you specified.

The batch job creates the Online Labor Distribution Template Copy report. The report identifies the source template, the copy to parameters, and the number of templates successfully created. The report also includes error messages if a template could not be created. Access the report from Print Manager within any Lawson report or update program.

Caution:
If a copy is done against a template that contains salary cap overage lines, the salary cap overage lines will be deleted, and the salary cap data on the originating line will be cleared. If the originating line needs salary cap processing done against it for the new template record, that processing can be performed on Labor Distribution Template Entry (GM10.2).
