Award Protocols (GM03.3)
Use Award Protocols (GM03.3) to assign protocols to a grant activity and to maintain protocol information for the activity.
You define your organization-specific protocols on Codes (GM02.1). Codes must be defined before any award setup can be completed.
Note: The Award Protocol Alert Report (GM203) prints a report of protocols
that may be expiring soon and need renewal for grant activities.
More Information
Protocols, or research protocols, are documents from research institutions that provide assurances to agencies awarding grants that human or animal subjects used in research are treated in an acceptable manner. Examples of research institutions include Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC), Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC), and Institutional Review Board (IRB).
