Codes (GM02.1)

Use Codes (GM02.1) to identify the following types of codes associated with grants: award types (AW), cost transfer reason codes (CT), business lines (BU), deliverable (DE), division (DI), department (DP), protocol (PC), project type PJ), prime sponsor (SP), and protocol status (ST). Defining codes is part of the prerequisite setup of Grant Management. Codes must be defined before any award setup can be completed.

After you define codes, the variables you set for each code become options in their related field on Award (GM01.1). The codes you define can be used on multiple awards.
