Journal Control (GL45.1)

Use Journal Control (GL45.1) to view and maintain the status of journal entries from all Lawson Software systems. From this form, you can release, unrelease, change, delete, backout, and quick post journal entries. You can also define control transaction totals for a journal entry. The control totals must match the system totals before you can release the journal entry.

Note: Use N (Unrelease without AC) in the Function Code field to unrelease the journal entry that has activity information without affecting the related activity transaction. If the changes your are about to make to the GL journal entry also need to be made to the activity, you need to manually change the activity entries in (AC). Use Journal Entry (AC Only) (AC40.1) to make the changes to the activity transaction(s).

Processing Effect

If you use a ProcessFlow system for approving journal entries, journal entries that are greater than or equal to the approval amount defined for the company on the Journals form tab in Company (GL10.1) are routed to the ProcessFlow system for approval. These journal entries must be approved before they display on this form and before they become available for posting. If you remove a hold code, your ID is stored in GLCONTROL.HOLD-REM-OPER,
