General Ledger History Delete (GL300)
Run General Ledger History Delete (GL300) to delete historical journal entry transactions, comments, consolidation records, and budgets for a fiscal year. General Ledger history must be at least two years old before this program deletes it. You can delete all budgets for a year, or a range of budgets.
This program creates a report showing the total number of header, transaction, and budget lines deleted.
If the Archive Records is Yes, deleted records are removed from the General Ledger database and archived in a comma separated value (CSV) file as follows:
For UNIX/Windows platforms:
- JE Transactions and Comments are saved in file GLTRANS
- Consolidations and Balances are saved in files GLAMOUNTS, GLUNITS, CUAMOUNT, GLCONSOL, GLAMOUNTSX, and CUAMOUNTX
- Budgets are saved in files FBDETAIL and FBDTLHIST
Caution:

this program, back up your data according to your organization's procedures.
Before you submit the report, carefully review the parameters.
For IBM i platform:
- JE Transactions and Comments are saved in file DBGLGLT
- Consolidations and Balances are saved in files DBGLGAM, DBGLGLU, DBGLCAM, DBGLGCN, DBGLGAX, and DBGLCAX
- Budgets are saved in files DBGLFBD and DBGLFDH
