Creating or Editing an Object Filter

Follow the steps below to create or edit an object filter.

Create or edit an object filter

  1. On the DWD Designer, expand the tree view to locate the object.
  2. Right-click the object and select Detailed Properties > Filters.
  3. Under Filter tasks, click Edit Filter.
  4. Use the columns in the right side of the editor along with the provided logic operators to construct the filter.
    • Modify the view of the objects and columns using the controls: This object, All Visible, Dependent, and All.

      Note: 

      If the filtered object is implemented and filled with data, you can look at the data during the creation of filter by clicking the show button in the filter assistant. Always click dependent objects when creating a filter.

    • Select Formula to have filter terms appear in the lower right pane of the editor while the actual filter expression appears in the lower left pane.

    • Select Syntax to have the filter expression appear in syntax format.

    • Click Larger, Smaller, Refresh to control font size and refresh the editor contents.

  5. Click OK.
