Running the Dimension Wizard

Use the Dimension Wizard to add, load, and map columns in your dimension table.

Run the Dimension Wizard

  1. On the DWD Designer, click Designers tab.
  2. Expand the Dimension Tables folder to locate the dimension table.
  3. Right-click the dimension table and select Dimension Wizard.
  4. In the left pane, highlight columns you want to include and use the arrow keys to move them to the right pane. Click Next.
  5. Highlight columns on the left, then select a destination on the right. Use the buttons to perform the following operations:
    • Add selected column as key for the level

    • Delete key column

    • Add selected column as Member Property

    • Delete member property

    Click Next.

  6. Review the preview.
    • If you need to make changes, click Back.

    • If you are through making changes, click Finish.
