Updating a Catalog

Follow the steps below to update an existing catalog.

Update a catalog

  1. On the DWD Designer, click DWD Solution > Maintenance Tasks.
  2. Click Update the Catalog in the Maintenance Tasks screen.
  3. Choose from the following options:
    Remap Composers

    Remap catalog composers to a new data source

    Remap Sources and Splitters

    Remap catalog source object, splitters and decoders to a new data source.

    Update the Catalog

    Update the catalog with modified data source metadata.

    Update Composers

    Update the catalog composers.

    Update Data Mart Tables

    Update the datamart tables.

    Update Datatypes

    Update the column datatypes for the entire solution based on a data source system.

    Click Next.

  4. If you want to remap, select a data mart system to update.

    If you want to update, specify update options.

  5. Click Finish and Close.
